Topic: GREAT LEADERS, GREAT NATIONS

Read Genesis 12:1-3

Memorize: I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you i will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. (Genesis 12:3)

It is a universal phenomenon that everything rises and falls on leadership.

The availability of competent, effective, visionary leaders or their absence is the singular, most important factor that determines the succes or failure of any family or organisation, institution, church or nation.

No nation can be greater than the quality of its leaders. The kind of leadership being displayed or exhibited by the leaders of a nation in a critical reflection of the state of that nation and a sure pointer to the immidiate future ahead. Unless tnere is a change, present bad leaders cannot usher in a glorious future for any nation. This applies to the church in any generation.

Thus, the irreducible minimum prerequisite for any nation to become great is qualitative leadership at all levels- in she family, at school, in institutions, in communities, etc.

Do we desire greatness for our nation? Let us pray that God will bring into puplic leadership men and women with the capacity, skills and largeness of heart to lead our nation to the next level. Do we desire greatness for our churches? Let us pray for quality leadership.

Also prayerfully seek for God to develop on you the qualities that exhibit greatness, because HE can use you too.

PRAYER POINT

1. Lord, make me the kind of leader you can use for your glory.

2. Lord, in Your mercy, raise for this nation, leaders after Your own heart.

3. Lord, give us caring, godly leaders in our churches and assemblies.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE: The Living Water

Topic: AREN'T YOU THE ENEMY
READ PHILIPPIANS 3:17-21
MEMORISE: Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones. (Mark 5:5)

There was once a woman who joined a witchcraft to protect her Children. Surprisingly and very sadly, she ended up killing all the children she had initially wanted to protect through the demonic machinery she put up as refuge for them. When the last child died, she cried bitterly that the wicked one had gotten her, claiming that witches and wizards were the cause of her problems. Who was she deceiving? Weren't she the source of her own predicament?

Are you not like her? Paul said that many work as enemy of the cross by
(A) making their stomach count more than God's interest/work,
(B) Glorying in shameful things, such as transparent clothing, foul languages, brawling, magical waters/oil, syncretic Christianity, etc. Are there no grudges, im your heart against your fellows? Are you loyal to the constituted authorities? Or, what exactly are you doing that you think you can deceive people about, making them think you are on the right path? You can't deceive God; you will reap your input in life (Gal 6:7-9)

Don't be like that demoniac who, night and day, afflicted himself with great torment. Don't be your own enemy by doing things that can boomrang tomorrow. Check the condition of your heart now, so that you won't have to regret later.

PRAYER POINT
1. Oh God, thank you for this previlege to reassess my life
2. Lors, help me to retrace my steps back home from the ways i have become enemy of the Cross and myself.
3. Pray that God should facilitate the conversion of the enemies of the cross in this nation to give the Church peace in the land.

CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH
DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE: The Living Water
Friday, January 15, 2016
Topic: THE SQUIRREL AND THE TORTOISE (1)
READ PROVERBS 11:20-26
MEMORISE: cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days, you will find it again (Eccl. 11:1)

According to J.F. Odunjo in one of his fables, the squarrel once had a very big farm whose producs (Okro, palm produce, maize, cassava, pepper, tomatoes, and all sorts of fruits and vegetables) were excellent, having great market values. However, the problem was that only the squirrel knew about this farm. Neither his wife nor any of his children knew anything about the farm, because there was no road leading to it. He went there by jumping from one tree to the other.

The tortoise secrtely and cunningly went after squirrel and discoverd that the secret of his being robust while others in the animal kingdom suffered was that farm, from where he took fresh things, especially palm produce. The tortoise having discovered this farm, begged the other animals in the kingdom to help him make a road to the squirrel's farm, a thing they gladly did, after which he fed them heavily. By the following day, the squirrel discovered the tortoise's game and reported his dissapointment and disgust to the king. You see? All he had greedily hidden for quite a long time became exposed.

Are you stingy? Are there some things you delibrately hide from others and keep to yourself alone, despite that you know that it should be of benefit to all you? That is hoarding (Prov 11:26). Stinginess and self-centredness will only finish you in the end (Prov 11:24,25). God is the impartial judge. Fear Him and repent of your selfish tendencies now, lest you will be disgraced immidiately and ultimately. God forbids!

PRAYER POINT
1. Appreciate God for the undeniable fact that He has graciously given us all things throgh and in Christ, despite that we merit none
2. Ask God to Forgive your selfish tendencies, and help you to become channel of His blessings
3. Pray that church and political leader will eschew the grab-it-all tendencies that they exhibit over the led.

THE SQUIRREL AND THE TORTOISE (2)
READ DEUTERONOMY 27:1-11
MEMORISE: For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth
to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
(2 Chron 16:9a)

Remember that yesterday, in the story of the squirrel and the
tortoise, we got to where the squirrel reported the tortoise to the king. When the matter got to the king, he summoned the parties concerned and asked each of them to produce proof of their rightful ownership of the farmland.
The stinginess and secrecy of the squirrel (remember he didn't let
anyone know about it, including his wife and children) were his
undoing, unlike the tortoise who was cheered by the other animals as the rightful owner,
because he chose not to keep his beneficial discovery unnecessarily secret. The tortoise
gave his evidences as being that he had a road to 'his' farm, his wife and children knew about
the farm, and his animal
colleagues actually helped him to construct the access road-substantial witnesses. The King
adjudged the squirrel wrong, for none could defend him. After all, no one apart from himself knew about it. What killed Achan (Josh 7:20-24),
finished the squirrel - selfishness.

Selfishness would end in foolishness and nakedness. The more you give to others, the more you get from God, the Owner of all things.
Let's talk less about the
cunningness of the tortoise; God doesn't allow deceitful one to go unpunished. However, the
tortoise's openness helped him. The stingy and self-centered persons end up as the losers in
the long run. Your secrets are open to God. Be positively generous with all He has given you, and live to enjoy more of His blessings (Prov 11:24).

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, help me to eschew greed in all its forms.
2. Lord, visit the detention
facilities to rescue those who have been implicated and erroneously imprisoned.
3. Pray God to help leaders
everywhere to seek His counsel before making pronouncements on issues in their domains.

BLESSEDNESS OF MOTHERHOOD
READ EXODUS 2:7-11
MEMORISE: At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared for in his father's house. (Acts 7:20)

The role that parents play in nation building or raising of godly children is indispensable.
Parents have a great role to play in influencing the children either for evil or good. On most cases, women are closer to the children, hence, their greater chance to exert more influence on the children. Abraham Lincoln
(former US President) once said, ''Whatever accomplished in life, I
owe to my mother". Thomas Edison (a notable inventor) also confessed, "My mother was the
making of me".
Susannah Wesley was a
dedicated mother who saw child
rearing as a grace from God. She
raised Charles Wesley (world-
renowned hymn writer and
singer) and John Wesley (the
worldwide evangelist and
founder of the Methodist
Mission). Jochebed did the same
to and for Moses. Mothers, what
are you doing? Take care of
those babies. They are God's
heritage. Pray for them, lead
them to Jesus very early, right in
their different fathers' houses (cf.
Acts 7:20), be available for them,
be passionate about meeting their needs, and be hopeful that they will be great according to God's plan.

By implication, any woman who takes the life and future of her
children seriously, and choose to remain with her husband through thick and thin, with her husband's indispensable positive inputs, would surely inherit the fruits of her labour. A virtuous and godly woman must imbibe these qualities, if she does not want to be held responsible for her children's failure in all
ramifications. Be the best mother.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Thank God for His grace upon
your life to be a parent.
2. Lord, help me to be up and
doing in my duty as a parent, in
cooperation with my spouse.
3. Pray passionately that God should open every closed womb of Christians and bless them with
superstars.

Topic: 'QUMRAN'
READ LUKE 14:7-14
MEMORISE: ... and you will be blessed. Although they cannot
repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.
(Luke 14:14)

Qumran was a first century Jewish community that isolated itself from outside influences, because they were preparing for the Messiah's arrival. Devotional life, ceremonial washings, and strict adherence to rules of conduct were followed so much that even the physically challenged—lame, blind, etc.— were not allowed to sit at the table with them. Did that really
make them really holy and truly
consecrated? Of course, NO!

Christ's message in Luke 14:7ff negates such a lifestyle. Christ
advocates that doing good to the well-to-do who we know can
repay us isn't rewarding at all.
Compare God's immeasurable,
inexhaustible blessings with the
'goodies' that someone will give
in return for the 'kind
gesture' (actually with ulterior motive) you first did to them. What if such a person disappoints you eventually? (Jer 17:5-9) Ordinary worm, with its life in its nostrils!

The Word of God today speaks to
the 'spiritual elites' who 'like to
fellowship with people who think and act like us'. Jesus
exhorts that to be like Him, we need to open our doors to everyone, for the "inclusive gospel cannot be shared by an exclusive people" (George Sweeting).

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, uproot from within me every iota of spiritual arrogance,
inferiority complex and complacency, in Jesus' name.
2. Lord help churches to overcome and do away with spiritual pride that hinders
proper collaboration for the furtherance of the gospel.
3. Lord, help churches and their leaders to overcome unhealthy
comparison that is negatively
impacting on the image of the
Church in the land.

TOPIC: YOURHEART'S CONDITION
READ NUMBERS 22:10-34
MEMORISE: Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, "I have sinned. I did not realise you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back." (Num 22:34)

Not every opposition is of the devil. Sometimes, God permits them to groom us for the tasks ahead, making us better and thicker in relevant ways. Here, God opposed Balaam, to tell us that man's heart tends more towards stubbornly disobeying God's instructions and addiction to self-interest.

Three times God warned him not to go. In fact, going as far as stopping the donkey and miraculously speaking to him from inside the donkey! What else did Balaam need to know that God was not happy with that journey? But the promised profit in the futile venture had blindfolded him and made him compromise. Man's heart is stubborn and arrogant, tending
towards his own interests and will.

Check the spiritual condition of your heart, lest you develop spiritual heart attack at the end. When God warns you as touching a venture, thought or
relationship, how do you feel about His direction, corrections and reproof? That suggests your true heart's condition towards him. Consider the condition of the heart of Simon, the sorcerer and the avoidable condition he suffered (Acts 8:20,21). Better
change now, where applicable and necessary.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, help me not to compromise Your will, Word and
standard in the name of anything
(money, sex, popularity, etc.)
2. Lord, help me to be more sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit on all occasions and issues.
3. Lord, help our church leaders to discern Your will and do accordingly.

BE SKILFULLY DILIGENT
READ 1 SAMUEL 17:41-54
MEMORISE: But David said to Saul,
"Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a
sheep from the flock." (1 Sam 17:34)
At times, power and energy are not as required as skill (the ability to do something well, especially, because one has learnt and
practiced it). Where power/energy seem to have failed, skill is needed. Vocationally, skill cannot be wished away, because every vocation requires unique skills. David, Jesse's last child, was
like condemned to keeping animals in the lonely forest, while his brothers were lavished with the largesse of being old enough to go to war as Israel soldiers. David was alone in the field relating with the family of sheep!

However, most interesting is that he painstakingly learnt in the wilderness, the skills that God's grace banked on to shoot him to stardom (1 Sam 16:10-14). When you do other people's job diligently, you are preparing to be shot to limelight. David was seemingly forgotten and neglected, but he took time to diligently do the work committed
to his hands, actually laying foundation for his eventual promotion (1 Sam 17:54-58).

Apart from the divine grace and anointing on you, you must be skillfully diligent. Don't allow indolence because you are acting behind the scene in God's work!
(Prov 6:1ff) Your time of revelation will surely come. Who knows how your little praying,
studying, tract writing, singing,
counseling, etc. skills will speak for you someday? Just keep on keeping on. God bless you (Amen).

PRAYER POINTS
1. O Lord, help me to be skillfully diligent in all my endeavors in You.
2. Pray against indolence and
get-rich-quick tendency among our youths that result in their indulgence in criminal practices.
3. Lord, let every straying believer see the dangers of prodigality and return home to You with broken and contrite heart.

CLOSE TO THE HOUSE
READ MATTHEW 24:32-51
MEMORISE: But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyd by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. (2 Peter 3:10)

One cool evening, a wife, with her wrapper firmly tied around her waist, was relaxing in the garden, knowing that her husband wouldn't return from work untill much more later. She was deeply enjoying the weather outside when her phone sundenly rung. It was the husband, calling. She was surprised to hear him announce, ''I am close to the house''. ''What... What did you say?'' she stammered. With a serious baritone voice, the husband confirm, ''I am close to the house''.
She wasn't expecting him then... She looked everywhere and said, ''He mustn't meet me this way''. She hurriebly ran inside, change into an evening gown, and rushed into kitchen to wash her dirty dishes. Like an automatic machine, she rushed out to dry the bathroom floor wiith a mobbing brush. Still panting but smilling, she rushed to sweep the bedroom, living room and balcony, after which she sat down, patienly expecting her hubby.
Why the scurry? She knew he hated meeting the house dirty and disorderly. Imagine what would have happened if he had come home unannounced earlier than expected. The announcement helped her to clear his dislikes she had flagrantly flaunted. No man knows when Christ will return. It will be a thief in the night.
Have you been delaying giving your life to Him and living in His holiness? Have you been ignoring His calls? You had better run to His Cross now for forgiveness and salvation. The next second might be too late (1 Thess 5:2)

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, give me the wisdom and sensitivity to know when to act and not to. In accordance with your will.
2. Lord, help me to be more selfless in my approach to life.
3. Lord, deliver our political, traditional and church leaders from rash statements and actions.

BREAK THE LIONS' TEETH
READ JOB 4:8-11
MEMORISE: The one of the elders said to me, ''Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.'' (Revelation 5:5).

One of the most dangerous animals on earth is lion. Despite that it has small size and is hairy in nature, it is a fearful animal. Its paws and teeth are punching and pierching. Any time a lion pounces on another animal, it is only God that can deliver such an animal from its teeth. The devil is more dangerous. However, thanks for the all-mighty power of God who saves and delivers from satanic and demonic lions.

There are some dangerous and sharp teeth such as unseen arrows, bad news, bankruptcy, depts, failure, helplessness, joblessness, marital crises, lack of promotion, stagnancy, late marriage, nightmares, unseen marks followng someone, generation curses, hatred and so on biting many people today in the society. Many have gone deep into the coven of the enemies, where they orchestrate these evils by seeking solutions. They know not that wicked powers in these dark places of the earth are the originators of these wicked operations.

When you come to God and cry to Him in faith, He will deliever you from the teeth of the terrible lion that is harassing you. He has assured us in His word that the lions may roar and growl, yet the teeth of the great lions are broken (Job 4:10) in your life and situations. The Lion of the tribe of Judah is the only true Lion in heaven and on earth. The rest are roaring voices making disturbing noises that must be silenced, and are silenced. He has prevailed. This is the reason for your testimony and breakthrough now. Do you believe???

PRAYER POINTS
1. Jesus Christ, I thank You for this revelation and the truth.
2. I decree, every roaring lionls tooth against my destiny, you are uprooted now, in Jesus' mighty name.
3. Ask God to help His Church in the land to recover all grounds it has lost to the enemies of the gospel due to carelessness and complacency.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE: THE LIVING WATER....Impacting
Lives!
Thursday, January 28, 2016
Topic: ROOT IT OUT
READ GALATIANS 5:19-21
Memorize: God will judge those outside. ''Expel the wicked man from among you.'' (1 Cor 5:13).

The children of God are unique people on earth. They are special to God, because the blood of Jesus Christ redeems them, and the Holy spirit is keeping them for the second coming.
You must appreciate the fact that you are a Christian and not a criminal. This gives you authority to command both the heaven and the earth. The power given to you as a child of God is above any political power. The political power of a president of a country is limited to framework of his nation only. But you are seated with Christ far above all principalities. And what is exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His power.... Far above all principality and power and dominion, and every name that is named.... (Eph. 1:19-21;NKJV).

Those who are children of God are withing the vineyard of God. They enjoy the blessing of God. They are untouchable by the evil external powers and principalities. God has so much invested in you as His son and daughter. Then you are expected to stay withing His territory to keep enjoying His covering and blessing. But, withing this territory, certain things are not permitted. These are written in the book of Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV) such as adultry, fornication, uncleanness, sorcery, hatred, contentious,...envy, murder, drunkenness...and the like...those who do practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Therefore, root them out now from your life! Mortify them, lest they finish you!

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, uproot any evil seed of satan and sin in me now, in Jesus' name.
2. I dedicate my body, soul and spirit to you, oh God, in Jesus' name.
3. Ask that God should empower the Church to take the issue of discipline and intolerance with compromise very seriously.

THE CONNECTED ONE
READ MARK 3:13-19
MEMORISE: I have given you
authority to trample on snakes
and scorpions and to overcome
all the power of the enemy;
nothing will harm you. (Luke
10:19)

God forbids bad occurrence! There is no electrician on earth who is respected by high-tension cable. Anyone who touches it will
definitely be roasted to ashes because of the power voltage in it. The reason is simply because the tension is high and the power supply in it is potent and effective. Can you imagine what
the power of God will be if this mere human device can be so powerful?
The Word of God says, God has spoken once, twice I have heard
this: that power belong to God
(Psa 62:11; NKJV). When you are connected with the power of the
Almighty, you become more potent than a high-tension facility. One reason for your connection is to root out sicknesses, diseases, debt, demons and destiny-destroying powers from your generation.
The connected ones are carriers of the power of God on earth.

God is still looking for those who will connect themselves with Him.
But Moses replied, "Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the LORD'S people were prophets and that the LORD would put His Spirit on them!" (Num 11:29). The connected ones are the converted ones. They have repented and have been converted. God does not just give His power anyhow. Before Jesus gave His power to His disciples, He had called them and they had come to Him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matt 11:28).
Once connected, do not be disconnected through your choices and actions. Stay connected with HIM by regular rugged devotional life plus total obedience.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord! I refuse to be
disconnected from Your power,
henceforth, in Jesus' name.
2. I reconnect myself with Your power and authority today, to do exploits in and for God, in Jesus'name.
3. Lord, let there be true and lasting revival in Your Church everywhere.

Topic: WORTH MORE THAN MATERIALS
READ EPHESIANS 5:1,2
MEMORISE: Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children (Ephesians 5:1).

When a person does not know the real value of material, he can pay higher than its normal price. At the same time, when a person does not know the value of what he has, he can cast it before a dog or pig, or allow someone else to take it away from him. Do not give dogs what it sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces (Matt 7:6), says Jesus.

Christians are precious gifts and children before God. No one on earth can pay the price tag on your value. This is because no one can pay the price tag on the blood of Jesus Christ. We are bought with an eternal price tag. We are precious to God, and are priests before Him. The riches of God displayed on us cannot be quantified with anything. You should know your worth before God and on earth. When you walk on the streets, in your place of work, at school and in the market, be sure of your worth, and walk worthy of it.

One of the saddest events recorded in the Bible is the story of a young lady called Dinah. She lost her verginity to the Canaanite Shechem, an unbeliever and an idol worshipper. Dinal ignored her worth, and Shechem reduced her to material worth. Then Shechem said to Dinah's father and brothers, ''Let me find favour in your eyes, and I will give you whatver you ask. Make the price for the pride and the gift I am bring as great as you like, and I'll pay whatever you ask me. Only give me the girl as my wife'' (Gen 34:11-12).
You are worth more than mere material!

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, whatever I have lost my worth before You, restore me now.
2. I refuse to be reduced to material worth by any man, in Jesus' name
3. Pray that materialism will become a thing of the past among Christian/Church leaders.

I REALLY LOVE THIS TOPIC: Break the camp, read and Enjoy to know your mistake. God bless you as you do so...

BREAK YOUR CAMP
READ DEUTERONOMY 1:6-8
MEMORISE: Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighbouring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates. (Deut 1:7)

If you have ever been to any farm settlement, you would have seen the hamlets and huts there. These huts have been there for years without any new touch. The dilapidated ones worth being repaired with mud. One feature of hut or camp is the fact that it is there on a spot. It also limited in size, old, tattered, and stagnant.

When the Israelites were in the wilderness, they lived in camps and stayed on a spot for years. It got to a stage God told Moses, You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites... See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore He would give to your fathers... (Deut 1:6-Cool.
Anything could stand as camp before you that you have to break. Fear is one of them. Doubt is a camp that limits many. Lack of vision could set a limitation over one's destiny. Inability or unwillingness to restore what you stole (restitution) could be the camp choking your blessings and testimonies. Failure to forgive your husband, wife, parents, friends, lecturers, neighbours and even pastor could be camp limiting you. The besetting sins in your heart and spirit can cage you. Break the camp now and advance.
There is a land of destiny manifestation for you to go in and possess. Until you break that camp, you are limited. Break the cocoon now and go forward!

PRAYER POINTS
1. I break every camp of limitation in my destiny today, in Jesus'name.
2. I advance to my land of possession today, in the mighty name of Jesus'name.
3. Lord, destroy every form of obstacle limiting the exploits of the Church for You in this land.

SIN IS YOUR WEAKNESS
READ ROMANS 7:13-25
MEMORISE: I can do everything
through him who gives me
strength. (Phil 4:13)

Perhaps you have heard many
people who claim to have a type
of weakness or the other,
physically, spiritually and psychologically.

The psychological classifications
of man into several
temperamental divisions might
support this school of thought.
But in the spiritual and Christian
matters, you are not supposed to
celebrate any shortcoming in the
Lord. Jesus Christ did not die for
half-baked Christianity and
Christians. Also, He did not die so
that there might be a residue of
sin in you. Some have gone to the lamentable level of celebrating and idolising the so-
called"weakness." Weakness
should not be categorized aa
wickedness and waywardness.
Desire progress, improvement
and life devoid of offence
towards God and men.

It is the devil's strategy to
deceive and hold you captive. He wants to hold you in his prison,
while selling the falsehood to you
that the sin you commit is your
weakness. How can
unfaithfulness to your spouse be
your weakness? If you consider
any of these: drunkenness,
formication, adultery, stealing,
anger, disobedience,
masturbation, watching
pornography,lustful thoughts,
secret smoking, lateness to
church service, missing your
Bible study and Sunday School,
fraudulent acts, extortions, etc.
(Rom 1:28-32; Gal 5:19-21) as
your weakness, will you also say
poverty, failure, lack of success
and destiny disasters as your
weaknesses also?

Believe God for your spiritual
renewal, and strengthen yourself
in Him. There is no sin you
cannot overcome. Give your life
to Jesus Christ today and commit
yourself to Him anew. You are
victorious.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank You Father for revealing
the devil's secret to me that no
sin is my weakness.
2. I break every yoke of besetting
sin in my life by the power in the
blood of Jesus.
3. Lord, render the hell-sent
prosperity gospel trying to becloud the true gospel of righteousness of no more effect in our churches.

Topic: IN HIS HANDS
READ ISAIAH 41:1-14
MEMORISE: I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (John 14:18)

When a little boy is beside his father, he fears no foe. Let lion and tiger surface, he has confidence that his father has enough power to tear them in pieces. Let another boy from the neighbourhood come and harass him, he will not be afraid. The reason is the presence of his father. Are you afraid when your heavenly Father is beside and behind you?
You have Father of all fathers. The power of the earthly father is limited, unlike the unlimited power of your heavenly father. In fact, He is so powerful that He gives strenght to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isa. 40:29).

When God promises you that He will uphold you with His hands, you are secured forever. You do not need to be afraid. When He upholds your marriage with His hands, your spouse will live and not die. When He upholds your children with His hands, He will promote them and cause them to find favour even in the sight of their enemies.

The troublesome coastlands and waters will keep silent when God upholds you with His hands. He says, So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isa 41:10). Why you need not fear is that the eternal Father is with you. Carrying the abiding presence of God in your business allays the fear of failure, bankruptcy, dept and loss.
When you are in His hands, you receive divine strength and uplifting. Do not let Him go. Hold His hands very well.

PRAYER POINTS
1. I destroy wnything trying to cause me fear while in Your hands, oh Lord.
2. I hold unto You, Oh God, for devine closeness and fellowship in Jesus name.
3. Let Your mighty Arm guide the leadership of our nation towards the accomplishment of your purposes, in Jesus'name.

Topic: THE MEAL OF FORGIVENESS
READ LEVITICUS 4:13-20
MEMORISE: But the gift is not like
the trespass. For if the many died
by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace
and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus
Christ, overflow to the many!
(Romans 5:15)

When the sons of the prophets in the time of Elisha went to the farm to fetch vegetables, they
also fetched poisonous vegetable
along with the good ones. They
did not know until they ate it,
gulping it down their bellies.
They cried out to the man of God, Elisha, who purified it through some flour (2 Kings 4:38-41).

Through food, man entered into the bondage of Satan, sin and death. One major way people
contract sickness today is through what they eat, drink and inhale. Terrible sicknesses and
diseases affect humanity through
food and drinks.

The most heart-warming
announcement to you is that, there is one meal that is provisionally available for
forgiveness and freedom from
sin. Jesus Christ is the meal. "For
the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and
gives life to the world." "Sir" they
said, "from now on give us this bread." Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go
hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty" (Jn
6:33-35). Have you heard about the Holy Communion? Why would you undermine this God-given opportunity to appreciate the
indescribable love of God by giving us His Son (1 Cor 11:23-26)?

Jesus Christ terminates the guilt
of sin. He cancels the power of sin. He breaks the yokes of Satan, sin and sickness. His body is the meal of forgiveness. Eat Him
today by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. Continue
feeding on Him by feeding on His Living Word, enshrined in His Written Word (the Bible). You will
be eternally glad you did.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank you glorious Father for
the provision of the meal of
forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
2. Lord, I submit my life to You.
Help me to eat of the Bread of
Life from time to time.
3. Oh Lord, let Your Church be
more tilted towards studying, observing and teaching Your
Holy Word.

Topic: PROPER DRESSING; PROPER PROTECTION
READ ZEPHANIAH 1:1-9
MEMORISE: The LORD GOD made garments of skin for Adam and his Wife and clothed them. (Gen 3:21)

God made every creature with its own peculiar nature. The sea is good for the fish and other aquatic animals. Therefore, He puts them there.
The air is spacious, airy and free enough for the birds; He created them with feathers to fly in the space. The forest is good for animals such as lions, tigers, antelopes and many others.

When it came to the turn of man, He created him in His (God's) own image and likeness. He covered man with His glory and communicable attributes; such communicable attributes as love, peace, joy, life, forgiveness, reasoning use of language, and so on. When you see yourself as the image of God, how do you fell? You are the crown of God's creation and creatures.

One way you should appreciate the fact that, you are the image of God is through proper dressing. Proper dressing on you is divine protection for you. Nakedness is a dangerous sigh of poverty and emptiness in the spirit world. One should pity and regularly pray for those who have ignorantly or recalcitrantly chosen to expose sensitive parts of their bodies in the name of dressing, no matter their social or religious statuses, even the so-called celebrities.

Proper dressing show the physical glory of God in you. It colours the biological adornment of God on you. It is also a mark of humility. When you properly dress up, you are protecting your body and glory, as well as honouring God. Proper dressing is proper protection (1 Tim 2:9,10).

PRAYER POINTS
1. I recover my lost glory and protection today from where I have exposed them through improper dressing.
2. My God, my Father, I promise You that henceforth, I will properly dress up before you.
3. Pray against the dangerous trend of fashion-craziness that has sadly eaten deep into fabric of some churches, causing many to fall.

Topic: WHERE THERE IS NO VISSION.

READ PROVERBS 29:16-23
MEMORISE: Where there is no revelation, the people cast restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law. (Prov 29:18)

Nothing is as tragic in life as a man who passed through life without a vision. He is aimless, directionless and goalless. The word ''Perish'' (KJV) in the scripture above means to be stripped of dignity and honour. Vision is the access to life of stardom, dignity and honour. A visionless man may not die after all, but lives as if dead. A visionless man is wanderer out of the way of understand, and as Proverbs 21:16 says, A man who strays from the path of understand comes to rest in the company of dead.

''A person without a vision is a wasted personality''. As far as God is concerned, a believer without a God-given vision and purpose of existence has no record of work in the books of God. Where there is no vision, there is no purpose.

If you don't discover the right assignment, you will stumble on the wrong one. If you don't stand for something, you will keep falling for everything, right or wrong. What you discover is what you develop and defend. Untill you pursue the right assignment, you can't be doing the right things. A man without vision, no matter the level of anointing, will run errands for the devil.
Today, if you can sincerely ask God to show you His blueprint for your destiny, you will began to live better and fulfilled in life.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lors, make me a visionary person as i journey through life.
2. Father, arrest vision-killers around me in every way.
3. Lord, make our church and national leaders visionary in the real sense of the word.

Topic: PLAYBACK TIME

READ MATTHEW 18:23-35
MEMORISE: And he said:''I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'' (Matt 18:3).

It is common these days to hear people says, and of a truth, it is real that ''what goes around, comes around''. This is what they call the Law of Karma. Infact, the scripture states expressly that Do not be deceived: God can not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows (Gal 6:7). What that simply suggests is that life is a cycle in which what you do or do not do will eventually have an effect on you, one way or the other.
In the parable given by our Lord Jesus Christ on the unforgiving forgiven servant to exercise patience and allow him more time to pay the dept, he refused, and committed him to prison.

It was payback time for him when the report got to His own master who had earlier forgiven him. He was not only reprimanded for his wickedness and lack of forgiving spirit, he was thrown into prison.
Our Lord, through this parable, further emphatises his doctrine of forgiveness. He teaches that if God could forgive us our sins, we must forgive our fellow men of whatever offences they may commit against us. Remember there is always payback time for all good and evil, including your unreadiness to forgive and let go of others. Remember judah (Gen 39:24-26).

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, fill me with the exceeding grace of forgiving others willingly.
2. Lord, subdue the unforgiving spirit causing inter- and intra-tribal wars in our land.
3. Lord, help both the leadership and membership of our churches to eschew unforgiving spirit, so as to put rest the series of crisis rocking the Church today.

Topic: DECISION DETERMINES DESTINY

TEXT: HEBREWS 11:23-26

MEMORISE: But Ruth replies, ''Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.'' (Ruth 1:16).

Our dicision have far-reaching effects on others and us. The decision of Moses' parents had effect, not only on the family, but also on the whole nation of israel. We would not have heard anything about Moses, had he decided to remain in pharaoh's palace! (Exo 2:11,12) Note that even indecision is decision! Remember Daniel (Dan 1:Cool.

Naomi and her husband, Elimelech with their two sons naives decided to quit Bethlehem in Judah, due to famine, for the godless Moab (Ruth 1:1,2). What was the outcome of that rash decision? Calamity, devastation and bereavement! Thank God, Naomi was able to pick up the pieces of her life to finally return home (Ruth 1:7). The Moabitess Ruth, a gentile, made a difficult, dangerous and dire decision to follow the uncertain and devastated Naomi to Israel (vv.16). What is the result? She became the great, great grandmother of Jesus Christ. Jesus human genealogy would be imcoplete without mentioning Ruth (Matt 1:5). What do you hear of her counterpart, Orpah?
Your present situation spiritually, maritally, vocationally and otherwise, is proportionate to the decisions you made in the past. Somebody claims that one can have power over his choice(s) but cannot control the consequence(s) of such choice(s). Have you decide for JESUS already? Your destination is heaven. Doing otherwise is eternally suicidal! Decide for Him now; tomorrow might be too late! And, watch your subsequent decisions/choices.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, help me to make wise and eternally valuable decisions.
2. Lord, mercifully deliver me from the negative results of my past ungodly decisions.
3. Pray that God should help our church and national leaders to make decisions that will only impact positively on their followers'lives.

Topic: DON'T ASSIST!

TEXT: 1 PETER 5:6-10

MEMORISE: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

There is much outcry everyday by people concerning ''the work of the devil'' Everything that goes bad/sour is said to be ''the devil's work!'' The devil is so portrayed and magnified as if he is omnipresent, omniscient or omnipotent, whereas he is nothing; he only succeeds on lives that conciously or ignorantly cooperate with and assist him to finish them. If Satan fails to gain control over your heart, then he cannot triumph over you.
By doing the devil's biddings, you are assisting him to have his way in your life, home, business or ministry (cf. 1 Jn 3:8a). You open up your cracks and loop holes to him in all ways and all that he represents (1 Pet 5:8,9). The resultant effect of resisting the devil and his agents is that he will flee from you. Our Lord Jesus Christ also resisted him when he came to Him (Jesus) with series of temptation (Matt 4:1-Cool.

Stop indulging and involving in shady, questionable and ungodly 'deals' and relationships! Don't join the bandwagon of those who always blame the devil for their misbehaviours. Yes, the devil remains the mastermind of all evil, yet, God has given us the grace to say no to his advances, thus giving us no room for excuses to assist the devil to destroy us.
As you set out on today's activities, resolve withing you to resist the devil and never to assist him; he'll surely flee by God's power.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Oh Lord, help me never to cooperate with the devil to accomplish his purpose against me and others.

2. Lord, help Christian to be more commited to fighting the devil.

3. Holy Spirit, swiftly visit every Christian at the verge of losing their priceless salvation, with Your powerful conviction.

Topic: DON'T STOP!

TEXT: GENESIS 26:12-32

MEMORISE: That day isaac's servants came and told him about the well they had dug. They said, ''We've found water!'' (Genesis 26:32).

God espects you to back up your prayer and fasting with right actions and persistence! God has His role in getting you to your Canaan land. Your part is to cooperate with Him. Therefore, aside prayer, attitude, volition and discretion go long way in getting you what you need.

10 of those 12 spies came with a negative, myopic report (Num 13:28), and succeeded in winning over the likeminded faithless ones. Actually, no one stopped them. They stopped themselves. Hence, they couldn't reach the Promise Land! (Heb.3:11) Conversely, Isaac, who had obediently stayed in Gerar, despite the famine in the land, had dug some wells, only for enemies to fill them up. They thought he would be tired of digging more, but he never gave up untill he triumphed. What do you think is stopping or can stop you from attaining to God's height of success for your life, marriage, career, ministry, etc.? The only one who can stop you is YOU! Rise up now and say with all boldness and faith: ''I am able to go up and take my God-given possession, entering into the fulfilment of my destiny'', like the visionary spies (Num 13:30).

REMEMBER: Your problem is not your problem; your attitude to your problem is your problem.

PRAYER POINTS
1. I receive the encouragement from Above to never stop in my aspiration to attain to God's best for my life, in Jesus'name.

2. Ask God to intervene in the issues of brethren who are at the verge of throwing in the towel due to prevalent challenges.

3. Pray that God should visit the entertainment industry with His cleansing power because of the upcoming generation.
