Job Title: Treasury and Credit Control Officer
Finance, Accounting, Audit
Monitors risk associated with credit granted to customers, strengthens and improve customer credit management process.
Ensure that suppliers are paid in accordance with the prescribed procedure and within the specified and contractual time limits.
Check the daily reconciliation of receipts and Invoices.
Prepare cash projections and daily cash budget within the specified time limits.
Ensure conditions of settlement defined by management for advances, guarantee deductions, due dates are adhered to.
Participate in the definition of customer credit policy.
Collect and analyse financial data on customers.
Organise customer debt collection meetings in coordination with the sales department.
Check compliance with regulations on customer’s maximum outstanding debt.
Place investment orders in accordance with the defined procedure.
Prepare the daily or periodic statement of cash book.
Ensure the appropriate bank balance is maintained.
Initiate, manage and monitor contentious cases in collaboration with the company lawyer.
First degree in Accounting.
Minimum 5 years post NYSC relevant work experience.
Professional qualification ICAN, ACCA would be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of General Accounting procedures and cash management.
Mastering IFRS and Nigeria accounting regulations
Proficient in data entry and management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Knowledge and technical understanding of accounting principles
