PRODUCTION DESIGNER / ANIMATOR

SPICE TV – Africa’s first 24/7 international fashion channel – is recruiting, looking for a highly creative and talented Production Designer/Animator to join the production department. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of creativity combined with an eye for detail. A technical and creative approach is integral to this role as are excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Description:

We are now looking for a highly technically- orientated, creative and talented mid-level production designer and animator with 2-5 years of experience in Broadcast Production / Motion Graphics Design, in an on-air television network environment. The ideal candidate should be a highly organized detail orientated person, with an eye for the technical and aesthetic craft of broadcast design. You should be a creative Production and technical problem-solver, as well as posses strong interpersonal communication skills. The Production Designer/Animator involves designing and animating graphics for on air, off air, VOD and multiplatform.

Requirements:
•Highly skilled in Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
•Comfortable with Mac and PC, Microsoft Office Knowledge.
•3-5+ years of design/animation, motion graphic design experience – internship experience welcome.
•On-Air experience in broadcast network environment is a plus
•Experience with Cinema 4D, InDesign, Flash, Final Cut, Premiere
•Experience with media management and server based workflows.
•OACIS experience a plus

Responsibilities:
•Design and animation of the on-air network navigation, including bugs and various lower third messaging
•Design and animation of promotional elements, based on established network style guides and tool kits.
•Production support for the design team, including but not limited to keying, rotoscoping, tracking, image prep, colour correction and resizing of art for various formats.
•Help develop and maintain how-to one sheets and style guides for the design group.
•Help organize, maintain and distribute assets across the design group.
•Help organize and maintain production relation archives.
•Designs and animates in show graphics including flags, bugs, countdown clocks, credit crunches, and crawls
•Coordinates with the Media Planning department and writes copy for in show graphics

SENIOR VIDEO EDITOR

Description:

We are now looking for a talented Senior Video Editor to join the SPICE TV Creative Production team. Reporting to the Creative Director you will be required to generate original video content for SPICE TV, website, iPad Apps, social media and marketing projects. Requirements:
- Required skill(s): Proven experience shooting with RED, DSLR and pro-sumer cameras. FinalCut 7 or Adobe Premiere
•3+ years of experience shooting – RED, DSLR and pro-sumer cameras.
•Experience in the use of a variety of professional video cameras, camera mounts and controller
•2+ years of experience of creative production experience.

POST PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Description:

We are now looking for a talented Post Production Supervisor to join the SPICE TV Creative Production team. The role is full time and involves working with a fast-growing team. The Post-Production Supervisor is responsible for managing in-house editorial and production staff, assessing editorial and production bandwidth requirements and bringing on freelance editorial staff as needed, overseeing asset management, internal and external communications and scheduling.

Requirements:
•3-5+ years combined post-production coordination experience, or experience with digital.
•Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary
•Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines.
•An expert in technology, comfortable trouble-shooting problems throughout the editorial department.
•Background in film and television production, or in digital content.
•Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven start-up environment.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

Description:

We are now looking for a talented creative Associate Producer to join the SPICE TV Creative Production team. Reporting to the Channel Manager & Creative Director you will be required to generate original video content for SPICE TV, website, iPad Apps, social media and marketing projects. Resourceful individuals are invited to join our team.

Requirements:
- Required skill(s): Degree in a Broadcast, Animation, Design or Media related field.
 2+ years of experience as a producer, or similar role with interactive/ad agencies. Experience producing and/or directing small shoots desired. Experience with script writing and copywriting desired. Knowledge and proficiency with editing systems and programs including Final Cut, Avid and/or Adobe Premiere
is a plus. Knowledge and proficiency with design and motion design programs including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator desired
is also a plus.

As a key part of the SPICE TV online team, you’ll be responsible for researching, investigating and writing stories for the SPICE website, as well as interviewing subjects and reporting from events. Requirements:

•Proven experience in print/online journalism or blogging
•Proven experience writing news/feature stories
•A proven interest in/passion for the African fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry, as well as knowledge of its key brands and professionals

SPICE TV – Africa’s first 24/7 international fashion channel – is recruiting, looking for a hands on dynamic and motivated Website Designer/Developer to join for its growing team. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of creativity combined with an eye for detail. A pro-active and creative approach is integral to this role as are excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be a digital designer but with a good knowledge of WordPress and back and front-end development. An understanding of PHP and Bootstrap is advantageous!

Although technical skills are required, this position will have a focus on visual, optimizing the interface of the site through regular design and editing of buttons, images and new content, in addition to the design and build of event-specific microsites and landing pages. This will also extend across social media, emails, blogs and videos so you will be provided with a varied and ever-changing role! Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

•PHP, MYSQL, HTML/CSS.
- Preferred skill(s): Javascript (jQuery), AJAX, Testing Methodology, UI Design.
